Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 10 October 2026

TreadMatch is a local planning app for carpet runners on straight staircases. This policy describes the current app version.

Information stored on your device

The app stores projects you create, including project names, measurements for individual steps, fabric cards, saved cut options, checklist choices, optional photos, and app preferences. The fabric library also stores sample details and optional sample and roll-label photos. These records are saved in the app's local storage. TreadMatch does not require an account.

Camera and photo library

The camera is used only when you choose to take a project or fabric-library photo. The photo library is used only when you choose an image. The selected image is resized and saved on your device. The app does not automatically upload photos.

Collection and sharing

TreadMatch has no developer-operated server, advertising, analytics, or third-party SDK. It does not collect or transmit your projects or photos to the developer. If you share a text summary or export an installer PDF, the iOS share sheet lets you select a destination; the selected destination handles that file or text under its own policy. Device backups may be governed by your Apple settings.

Retention and deletion

Projects and fabric samples stay on your device until you delete them. Deleting a project removes its stored photos; deleting a fabric sample removes its library photos. Project copies of a fabric remain after its library sample is deleted. You can remove photos separately. Exported PDFs are created as temporary local files until iOS clears them. Removing the app normally removes its local app data under iOS behavior. You can stop camera or photo library access in iOS Settings.
